We've all heard that fast fashion is bad for our planet and for humanity, so why are we still consuming it? The quick answers to that are accessibility, affordability and the simple fact that people are uneducated about how bad fast fashion really is. Here are 5 basic facts you can bring up next time you are trying to enlighten someone on why fast fashion just isn't worth it.

1. Workers in textile factories overseas can make as little as $10 per month.

2. Fashion is the 2nd most polluting industry in the world.

3. Clothing is designed to fall apart so that you have to purchase more.

4.Nearly three-fifths of all clothing produced ends up in incinerators or landfills within a year of being made.

5. It takes 2.700 liters of water to make one T-shirt.
